Festive Left Friday Blogging: So much hottitude, all in one week

First up, we have Chavecito in a spiff-tacular new uniform, waving to the crowds:

I’m told this has something to do with some holiday or other that Venezuela celebrated this past week.

And then, there was this little shindig in Cochabamba, hosted by Evo:

…something to do with climate change.

And if that’s not enough leftist hottitude for you, and you’ve got some time to spare and can understand Spanish, click here and see someone downright Ecuadorable being interviewed by VTV reporters on Contragolpe. He’s in town for some ALBA summit or other.

Hey, ‘Bina, did you see the article on Machetera that your El Ecuadorable has scored a first against the big drug companies. He recognized their patents for a retrovirus drug for the remaining time of its patent through the company that is producing it as a generic. Cuts the price WAY down and shocks the shit out of those big US companies that think that anything south of Key West is filled with ignorant savages. Helps the poor who couldn’t afford the drug because the bastard drug companies had jacked the price so high. There’s not a damn thing they can do about it because it is a recognized practice under the International Intellectual Property Compact. Probably expect a lot more countries to follow suit soon.
Yeah, I know, this had nothing to do with your post but I was so happy to see someone put something over on the damn drug companies and have it be one of the guys in the Axis of Evo too was really great news.

  2. Jim, I hadn’t seen that one yet. (Must go there NOW!) And he opened a door, too–woo-hoo!!!
But it doesn’t surprise me that he’d do that. It’s just one more reason I love Correa–he’s got brains, a good heart, and cojones. (And gorgeous green eyes, too.)
    Viva Correa–viva Ecuador!

Oh!!! My face is so red! It was on Structurally Maladjusted not Machetera.
Sorry! I’ll take my lashings with a used printer ribbon and try to be more careful in the future.

Anti-Socialist South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint is from a red welfare state that’s subsidized by the blue states. He worships Jesus Christ, a radical, Liberal Socialist from a family of illegal, homeless aliens. No one is more of a Socialist than the thoroughly Socialist Jim DeMint.
