Bina, did you see the news about Yongo’s dad getting 20 yrs. in jail for murder (Yongo was apparently tweeting, claiming political vendetta)?
Oh, and btw the big blotch on your site map from Northern Spain is gonna move to India somewhere 🙂

And somehow, I’m not surprised about Yon-Yon’s dad. I figured the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and neither does the oppo…Who’d Goicoechea Sr. kill?

Stationed in Calcutta first, but beginning September either Delhi or Hyderabad, depends on various things …
Yongo’s father apparently killed a young lad just because he laughed (along with a couple of other boys) because the car being driven by him hit something. He apparently saw the boys giggling, moved the car in slow motion, and just shot one of the giggling boys (this was in 1994, he wasn’t arrested till 2004, don’t ask me why it took them 10 years to do so) …
Someone compared him (the dad, Jorge Goicoechea) to Chuck Norris

And to think that the oppos are claiming violent (especially gun) crime exploded under Chávez…
Of course, they never shriek about how much of it is being perpetrated by their own fucking machos. Only when one of them is finally brought to justice, and then they shriek that it’s political persecution. Whiners one and all.
