Twitter is quite popular in Venezuela, and it is used by both sides to communicate with their supporters. Yesterday the account of President Maduro suddenly lost about 6,600 followers and the accounts of many members of the government and other revolutionary leaders were closed, without any explanation. The government is naturally demanding an explanation, but it appears to be a politically motivated attack. For a list of accounts closed,etc. see
